- Technical advice and plans on safety and efficiently moving traffic through a worksite
- Safety for all road users
- Safety for all construction workers/plants (construction vehicles and equipment)
- Optimise both the operation of the road network and the construction works that can be completed at the same time
- Advice and input into the staging of the construction works and the impact on road users
- Swept path assessments to ensure that the intended vehicles can be accommodated
- Investigate ways and strategies to separate the competing modes of transport
- Advice and input into the overall communication strategy for various components of the works
- Design input and management of key specialist traffic design for the ultimate freeway and arterial road areas
