Engineering Design Project Manager
The Engineering Design Project Manager will manage projects and assign work to the team of engineers and designers. You will plan, direct, coordinate and supervise the work of other professional and technical staff and review their work for technical accuracy.
Specific activities include, but are not limited to:
-Liaise with clients, stakeholders and other parties
-Coordinating the interaction of project members and teams in the design delivery process
-Provide support to a solid and capable team while overseeing programming, resourcing and scheduling.
-Plan and control the delivery of project design to ensure the achievement of quality, completion and profit objectives
-Monitoring and evaluating the work of designers to ensure that progress meets requirements
-Identify and resolve process and operational issues with relevant stakeholders to ensure projects can be accomplished to agreed time frames and quality standards.
We are looking for someone with:
-A passion for traffic engineering and design.
-5+ years of experience in design
-Experience in the preparation and / or supervision of detailed traffic engineering designs (functional layouts, traffic signal layouts, signs and pavement markings)
-Experience working on significant and complex design projects – level crossing removal, MRPV road duplications, freeway upgrades, etc…
-Experience in project managing design projects in civil / construction
-Intermediate to advanced skills in CAD and road design software
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills to train and mentor the team of engineers and designers-
-Degree qualified civil engineering or similar and is able to be registered under the Professional Engineers Registration Act
